SULLIVANS COVE MASTERCLASS
The Sullivans Cove journey began in 1994 when the distillery was established as one of the founding distilleries in what we now know as the modern era of Australian distilling. The distillery’s commitment to carefully crafting exceptional whisky, inspired by nature and patiently aged, was rewarded when Sullivans Cove was named the World’s Best Whisky in 2014.
Beyond putting Tasmanian and Australian whisky on the global map, the Sullivans Cove team hopes to help cultivate a new generation of whisky lovers. Discerning seekers who are looking to experience something out of the ordinary and who appreciate an intimate and heartfelt approach to handcrafted whisky distilling.
As the distillery enters a new era and looks towards its 30th anniversary with Distillery Manager Heather Tillott at the helm, the team is doubling down on its commitment to quality set in place over the prior decades. Unlike larger distilleries that focus on the consistency of their product by vatting together many casks, Sullivans Cove primarily celebrates the individuality of each single cask. By celebrating the singular nature of each cask and finding joy in creating something that tastes like nothing else, the result is genuinely rare whisky that can never be replicated.
This year’s Sullivans Cove Whisky Abbey masterclass will feature four Cask Variations releases. Launched in 2018, the exclusive Cask Variations series offers whisky enthusiasts a limited-edition experience with twists on the flagship whisky styles produced by Sullivans Cove Distillery.
The line-up will include:

American Oak ex-Tawny Single Cask TD0074 – 11 years old – 47.5% ABV
French Oak Second-fill Single Cask TD0201 – 15 years old – 49.7% ABV
