Step into the blender’s seat at Whisky Abbey for a hands-on masterclass bringing together whiskies and expertise from five of Australia’s leading whisky producers. Explore what each whisky brings to the glass, then discover how they come together as you create your own Australian blended whisky.
Bringing the whisky and the know-how are:

- Furneaux – Tom Ambroz
- Starward – Carlie Dyer
Each session will be guided by at least two of these producers, sharing how they approach blending and helping you find your own balance of flavour. You’ll taste all five components individually before experimenting with different ratios, discovering how even a small adjustment can change the character of your blend.
Will you aim for richness and depth, something bright and fruit-driven, or take it in an entirely unexpected direction? There’s room to explore, with experienced hands there to guide you.
And the experience doesn’t end at the blending table. After the festival, your chosen recipe will be made into your own personalised 200ml bottle – a chance to revisit your creation, share it with friends and say, “I blended that.”
