Chichibu: A Tale of Two Releases

This year’s Chichibu masterclass at Whisky Abbey is nothing short of historic. Together with Yumi Yoshikawa and Taichi Moriyama, we’ll celebrate the Australian launch of two landmark whiskies that represent both the continuity and the evolution of Ichiro Akuto’s vision.
First, the debut release from Distillery 2, showing a fresh identity from new stills while staying true to Chichibu’s DNA. Alongside it, the Australia Edition 2025 — a whisky created exclusively for our market, with a completely different profile to last year’s edition yet unmistakably Chichibu. To complete the journey, you’ll taste four individual cask samples, illustrating the building blocks used in Chichibu’s unique approach to blending.
