Ichiro’s Masterpieces: Past, Present & Future

 

 

Few modern Japanese whisky stories are as closely followed as that of Ichiro Akuto and Chichibu Distillery. This masterclass will explore that story through five whiskies representing where Ichiro’s whisky has come from, where it stands today and what lies ahead.

 

Hosted by Yumi Yoshikawa, Global Brand Ambassador for Chichibu Distillery, the tasting will take guests through five specially selected samples, using each to explore different chapters in the evolution of Ichiro’s Malt and Chichibu.

 

From the legacy that came before Chichibu to the distillery’s approach to barley, maturation and whisky making today, Yumi will offer an inside look at the ideas and decisions that have shaped some of Japan’s most sought-after whiskies – and what the future may hold.

 

The exact whiskies are being kept under wraps for now, with Yumi personally selecting the five samples for Whisky Abbey.
