Kanosuke Distillery – A 10 Year Journey
Ten years ago, Kanosuke Distillery began its journey on the coast of Kagoshima. This masterclass is a chance to explore what has happened since.
Across five whiskies, we’ll trace the evolution of Kanosuke over its first decade – from its early releases through to the different styles, techniques and ideas that have come to define the distillery today.
The tasting explores several sides of Kanosuke’s whisky making, moving through its signature Single Malt and Peated Single Malt, the influence of sherry casks, and the distinctive Hioki Pot Still Whisky. We’ll then look back to where Kanosuke’s single malt story began, with the opportunity to revisit the distillery’s very first Single Malt release.
Guiding the journey will be Shunsuke Yoshikawa from Kanosuke Distillery, taking guests through the challenges, decisions and evolution of the distillery’s first ten years, while also looking ahead to what the next chapter may hold.
For those who have followed Kanosuke since its earliest releases – and those only discovering the distillery now – this is an opportunity to taste ten years of its story side by side.
