Founded in Paris in 1956, La Maison du Whisky (LMDW) is one of the oldest and most respected spirits merchants in France and continental Europe. Still family-owned, the company has grown into a cornerstone of the global whisky world—renowned for its discerning cask selections, its role as importer and distributor of the world’s finest brands, and for creating Whisky Live Paris, the largest whisky festival in Europe.
In this masterclass, Arthur Morbois will share his insights from years at the helm of LMDW Singapore, offering a rare insider’s perspective into the merchant world: how relationships are built with distilleries, how exceptional casks are discovered and chosen, and how LMDW continues to shape whisky culture globally.

Ledaig 10 Years Old 2004 – Artist #5 by LMDW (60.4%, Batch 1, 588 Bottles)
Arguably one of the best Ledaig sherry casks ever bottled.
Ballechin 12 Years Old 2007 Karuizawa Cask Finish (60.2%, 444 Bottles)
Finished in a legendary 1964 Karuizawa bourbon cask, bottled exclusively for Whisky Live Singapore 2019.
Glenlivet 15 Years Old 2007 (46%, 879 Bottles)
Bottled for Whisky Live Singapore 2022, a rare snapshot of Speyside elegance selected by LMDW.
Ben Nevis 7 Years Old 2017 (43%, 1753 Bottles)
Small batch of two refill Oloroso sherry butts, bottled for Artist Collective 7 at 43% ABV.
